Welcome to the Best Buddies of Ball State University webpage! The chapter at Ball State University is one branch of an international mission of enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through one-to-one friendships. The Ball State chapter was established in 2004, as part of Best Buddies Indiana, which currently oversees 47 high school chapters and 16 college chapters. Best Buddies of BSU has been part of a continuous growth since its inception, to enhance the lives of 59 participants during 2008-2009. This is only a small portion of what Best Buddies international has done since being started in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver. Since 1989, over 350,000 lives have been impacted in all 50 states and over 40 countries. We at Ball State University are excited to launch a new website that will help you stay updated with what is going on with our chapter through blogging and other social networking devices. The goal of Best Buddies is to develop friendships and communication is essential in any friendship. We encourage you to check this site often for Best Buddies updates and to keep connected with the Best Buddies of BSU community.
